Welcome to Coon Shadow Maine Coons, a family-operated CFA Maine Coon cattery in Indiana for over two decades. We prioritize health, ethical breeding, and gentle temperament. Our cats are part of the family—raised inside, properly groomed, and handled daily. We specialize in conserving traditional Maine Coon type with rare color patterns like blue mackerel tabby and black smoke. Certified health-tested and proudly located on the Indiana-Illinois border.

We selectively breed to maintain the original hardy , feral look , and rustic characteristics of the original Maine Coons native to the east coast of North America .

Our kittens are raised in the home , under foot with other animals, they are constantly handled by adults and children since they are born until they go to their new homes . So that your new companion arrives with an outgoing ,friendly personality well socialized , and ready to love you.
